GirlsDrawinGirls is teaming up with Press Paws for a "dogs from video games" themed show at Gallery Nucleus.  Proceeds will go to a local animal rescue.  I'm happy to be working with my old high school friend, Sakura on this project.  Sakura has worked very hard on this show and we're all looking forward to its opening reception on Feb. 9th!  http://girlsdrawingirls.com/were-teaming-up-with-press-paws/

Chalk Festival 2011

WOAH! It's been 9 months since I've posted. Talk about how having a busy life can get in the way of personal artistic endeavors. I'm trying to turn over a new leaf this year and get back into it. I'm gonna start right now by trying to update at least a little bit for the time being. Here's photo from last June's Chalk Festival piece that I helped fellow GDG artists create. Enjoy!

Draw like you don't give a crap.

Tonight I did something that I haven't done in a while. I just did some silly doodles from my head for fun. Like drawing in your notebook in high school kind of fun. The kind where you did art purely for enjoyment, and not just because you need a paycheck. I love reminding myself that I can get back to that point and that I do truly love to draw.

The Boys and Girls Club

I realized that I never posted this here! I did a chalk mural back in June in Huntington Beach for "The Boys and Girls Club". I basically thought, hey, I'm by the beach, and kids like mermaids, why not draw a mermaid for them? It was a 5x5 foot space of sidewalk that I drew on. I just drew this out of my head in about 2 and a half hours. Enjoy!
